Christian Counseling and Spiritual Warfare

Hey girl, I know you're going through it. Let's talk about something real for a minute. Spiritual warfare, it's a thing. And let me tell you, the character attacks have been real lately.

I mean, who knew being a Christian would turn you into a target? It's like we signed up for a peaceful, love-filled journey, right? But nope, the enemy has other plans. He’s throwing everything at us, including the kitchen sink.

Lately, I've had people coming at me left and right, trying to tear me down. Clients, friends, even strangers. It's like they're on a mission to dim my light. But here's the thing: I believe it's more than just people being jerks. It's a spiritual battle for our souls.

We're facing adversity, and it's tough. But I'm here to tell you, we don't have to fight alone. Together, we can uncover the spiritual nature of these attacks and find strength in the midst of the storm.

Pruning: A Spiritual Growth Process

Let's talk about pruning. You know, like when you trim your bushes or trees? It's all about shaping, right? Removing the dead stuff to let the good stuff grow. Well, life's kinda like that too.

Spiritually speaking, pruning is about refinement. It's God taking the clippers to our lives, shaping us into the masterpieces He intended. It's about growth, but it's messy and painful sometimes.

I've had my fair share of pruning. Lost friends, jobs, even had to move. It sucked! I went from having it all to questioning everything. But looking back, I see how those tough times sculpted me into who I am today.

It's important to remember, pruning isn't punishment. It's about preparing us for something bigger. It's like getting ready for a major role – you gotta shed the extra baggage to shine.

But let’s be real, pruning hurts. I mean, it's tough to watch parts of your life get cut away. There's anger, resentment, and a whole lot of "why me?" I've been there, questioning why I have to constantly change and adapt. It's lonely and frustrating when it feels like everyone else is getting the easy path.

Let's Dive into Part II: Spiritual Warfare and Character Attacks

Spiritual warfare is a real thing, y'all. It's like a cosmic tug-of-war between good and evil. We're caught in the middle of this epic battle, and it's exhausting.

Think about it: chaos, suffering, injustice—it's all around us. Sure, sin plays a part, but there's something deeper going on. A spiritual battle for our souls. When we're trying to live for God, the enemy comes after us with everything he's got.

I've been there. Feeling overwhelmed, isolated, and even depressed. It's like the world is conspiring against me. Lost friendships, job struggles, financial stress, and even health issues. It's a lot to handle. And then there are those moments of doubt and cynicism that creep in, making you question everything.

I've experienced sleep paralysis, which I believe is a form of spiritual oppression. It's terrifying and leaves you feeling vulnerable. But I'm fighting back, claiming God's promises and breaking any spiritual ties that might be holding me down.

This battle isn't just physical; it's spiritual. We need to equip ourselves with the armor of God—truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, and the Word—to stand strong against these attacks. It's like wearing protective gear in a war zone.

One of the most confusing aspects of spiritual warfare is the inconsistency of people's behavior. One moment, you're their best friend, and the next, you're the enemy. It's mind-boggling. But understanding that we're in a spiritual battle helps explain these sudden shifts in relationships.
